Description
The Nuvo TooT is designed to be a bridge instrument for players taking their first steps towards the flute, though in construction it is most likeable to the fife. The main difference is that the TooT has a larger bore, which means that the instrument is that slightest bit shorter. This means that smaller players will have no problem bringing the instrument closer to the body, and can be played like a flute without the need for a curved head joint.
Flutes, like most woodwind instruments, are incredibly complex. The TooT overcomes fingering obstacles via four unique double holes, which makes it easier to play chromatically. The TooT is thus a perfect starter instrument to introduce the woodwind family, or perhaps for older players who played in childhood and now wish to revisit the flute or fife without spending a fortune.
This instrument comes as a complete outfit with fingering chart and smart instrument case. An innovative feature is the ‘FirstNote’ lip plate. This is a recorder-style fipple mouthpiece attachment which allows students to develop proper posture and fingerings when learning their first melodies. When the player has progressed, this lip plate can then be replaced with a traditional one.
