The Yamaha YAS-480 Alto Saxophone is an intermediate model in the Yamaha saxophone range.
Based on the well known YAS-475, the YAS-480 saxophone features an improved low B-C# connection for better adjustment while the new octave key system (copied from the YAS62 Series) facilitates the use of custom necks.
The Yamaha YAS480 Alto Saxophone is an excellent step-up instrument for players progressing well into the grades and especially recommended for players who don’t intend to make a career of music but want an outstanding quality playing experience to enhance their enjoyment. It offers a bit more resistance than the YAS280 giving it an authoritative sound and a great flexibility, as well as excellent intonation.
